SMS consent & safety alerts
SoloSafe sends transactional SMS notifications for account setup, safety timers, check-ins, and emergency contact alerts. We do not send marketing, promotional, advertising, or lead generation messages.

SoloSafe SMS messages support the SoloSafe safety service. Messages may include account notifications, timer confirmations, check-in reminders, emergency contact invitations, missed check-in alerts, emergency alerts, alert time, and last known location when available. Pro timers may refresh GPS location every hour while the timer is active and the device has coverage.
SoloSafe does not use SMS for marketing or promotional campaigns.
Consent flow
SoloSafe has two SMS consent paths: one for registered app users and one for emergency contacts.
During app signup or account setup, a SoloSafe user can opt in to receive transactional SMS notifications for account, timer, check-in, and safety-related service messages.
When a registered SoloSafe user adds a friend or emergency contact, SoloSafe sends that contact an SMS invitation explaining that they may receive safety alerts if the user misses a check-in or triggers an emergency alert.
The emergency contact must reply YES before SoloSafe sends future safety alerts to that contact. Contacts may reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.
